About This Blog

My blog is called The Enchanted Place after the Enchanted Place in A.A. Milne's Winnie the Pooh books. He set his stories in the real Ashdown Forest in East Sussex. In the forest Gills Lap is the real name of The Enchanted Place. All of the places he mentioned in the books can still  be found in the forest today. I love Classic Pooh as drawn by E.H. Shepard.

I think I have been crafting for all of my life, I have many memories playing with paper and glue as a child. I used to spend happy hours building rooms and houses out of cardboard boxes for my doll. The very first stamps I owned were wooden Classic Pooh stamps, which I still have to this day.

I enjoy a variety of crafts. I started scrapbooking in 2000 after my beloved Golden Retriever Tammy died. I have created many scrapbooks dedicated to her.

I have always enjoyed  sketching and painting,  soft pastels and watercolours are my favourite mediums. I also enjoy stamping, mixed media and  some needle crafts.

I have been very fortunate to have some of my arty whatnots published in various magazines, and shown on Hochanda TV. I have been invited to join the Design Teams for Mixed Media Mojo, IndigoBlu, and Fiskarettes UK , Calico Craft Parts, and I have guest designed for a Vintage Journey, Crafty Individuals, and Calico Craft Parts.

I am not crafting quite so much now, as my health is declining.

Thank you so much for visiting. May all your days be sunny and careless.

Visiting the Memorial for A.A.Milne and E.H.Shepard at Gills Lap.
