Tammy

My beloved Golden Retievers name was Tammy, her kennel club name was Tamara Anwen.Tammy was born in Wales and Anwen means very beautiful, which she was. Of course Tammy is also a song famously sung by Debbie Reynolds in the Tammy films.

I printed the music onto some canvas paper and heat embossed some heart balloons and the word Love, in a marbling pink embossing powder. Tammy used to love ballooons and she could hold them in her mouth without bursting them! I edged the paper with pink and brown inks.

Both the Dog and Angel are wooden stamps and must be well over 10 years old! I stamped the wings on vellum and embossed them with white embossing powder, and fussy cut both the wings and doggie.I watercoloured the doggie.

 T

I sat Tammy on some white net and added lots of beads and sequins onto the netting and background.
I adhered a strip of fabric lace at the bottom and rolled up some of the lace to form a flower, and popped a little pink button in the middle.

Thank you so much for visiting.

I would love to enter this into the following challenges.

Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting heaven and earth
It is called Rainbow Bridge because of its many colours

Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows,
hills, valleys with lush green grass

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this special place
There is always food and water and warm spring weather

The old and frail are young again
Those who are maimed are made whole again

They play all day with each other
There is only one thing missing

They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth
So each day they run and play until the day comes
when one suddenly stops playing and looks up !

The nose twitches !
The ears are up !
The eyes are staring !
And this one suddenly runs from the group !

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet,
you take him or her into your arms and embrace
your face is kissed again and again,
and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together,

never again to be separated

I sprayed my Watercolour paper with water and added washes of rainbow colours, letting them bleed into one another to make lovely mixtures.

The dog from the Clumber Park Stamp set was going to be waiting on the bridge, so I stamped him with black ink and fussy cut him

Vellum is a transparent, delicate paper which is perfect for Angel wings.I  stamped  the butterfly from the Victorian garden set onto it, and cut out two wings from the butterfly.I coated the wings with clear glitter.

I adhered the wings to the back of the doggie and used 3D sticky pads to adhere him to the picture

The Mindfullness Stamp set has a perfect "Angels are watching over you" sentiment included which I stamped under the dog.

A Peep Into A Magical Land

Tread quietly... today we are peeping into a magical land... can you see the lovely horse and foal.Did you know that at midnight every night the fully grown horses start to magically grow a beautiful horn and turn into magnificent unicorns for the night. In this picture the mother is whispering to her child telling her all about the enchantment  she will enjoy when she is older !

If you would like to make an exploding  canvas you can find many and varied  videos on you tube to give you the basics. I used Lavinia Stamps and Die cuts to make this magical land.I watercoloured the images and canvas, and I used pearl stickles on the enchanted toadstool, and a signo white pen on the pink flowers.I also slotted  in some skeleton leaves to add more layers and depth.

Thank you so much for visitng today and taking a peep into this magical world!

Playing Not Fighting

This is my dream of a world where everyone is kind and considerate, law abiding, and there is no illness, disease or disability.
Dream on....

A closer look, the Hares are playing not fighting! Sometimes you have to fight back though...
I watercoloured the background, and stamp embossed some ivy in enchanted gold. I bought the Hares to life with watercolours, and used more watercolours to make the flowers bloom and the little butterfly fly!

This is the card folded down, I just need to buy an envelope to fit it now!

Thinking of you Bright Flower Card

I used some lovely Paperarsty stamps which Sally Jarvis from Making Cards magazine kindly sent to me. I wanted the card to be bright and cheerful, as I have created it for a family friend whose husband has recently passed away.

Simon Say Stamps are showcasing Paperartsy stamps this week, so I would like to enter this into their
Great Outdoors challenge..

Rubber Dance have a lovely colour Challenge, using rose, orange, and red colours, so I would like to enter this card to their Challenge too.

That's Crafty are hosting a Bright challenge, which I would also like to enter.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Alice in Wonderland in Making Cards Magazine

Today I was finally able to pick up a copy of Making Cards magazine!  I am so thrilled to be included in it!
I just  loved making this Alice in Wonderland book with Indigoblu Stamps and paints. I was a bit nervous as it was the first time I had ever used paperclay, I wanted to make a cake stand, cup saucer etc it wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be - what a relief! All of the details of how I made the  Alice book are in  May's  Making Cards magazine.
There is a wonderful free chevron stencil with the magazine and super cards made with it  by the very talented Tracy Evans plus very pretty papers!

Many thanks to Sally Jarvis for including me xx
